📖 About Morse Code Translator
What is the Morse Code Translator?
Our Morse Code Translator is a free, interactive tool that allows you to seamlessly convert standard text into Morse code and vice versa. It comes equipped with an advanced audio player, enabling you to listen to your translated Morse code using your browser's Web Audio API.
Key Features
- Bidirectional Translation: Instantly translate English text to Morse code or decode Morse code back to text.
- Audio Playback: Listen to your Morse code translations with authentic beep sounds.
- Adjustable Speed: Control the playback speed by modifying the Words Per Minute (WPM) setting.
- Custom Frequency: Adjust the pitch of the Morse code audio (Hz) to your liking.
- Privacy Focused: All translations and audio generation happen entirely on your device. Your data is never sent to any servers.
How the Audio Works
The tool utilizes the modern Web Audio API to generate the exact dot (dit) and dash (dah) frequencies required for authentic Morse code playback. Timing is controlled precisely based on the standard Paris word timing model, which dictates that a dot is one unit of time, a dash is three units, the space between parts of the same letter is one unit, the space between letters is three units, and the space between words is seven units.
